Consulting Engineers

The title "Consulting Engineer" is a legally protected job title and a seal of quality for freelance engineers. Through registration in the List of Consulting Engineers and receipt of certificate and round seal relating thereto, the customer gets the impression of particular competence, and the personal image is highlighted. Dedicated to the common good, Consulting Engineers exercise their activities independently and on their own in all fields of engineering as small and medium-sized freelancers. They are independent from any supply, trade or production interests, and thus guarantee their independence and ensure compliance with the highest technical and scientific quality standards, considering the principles of economic efficiency.

Our Consulting Engineers stand for:

• at least two years of professional experience
• intelligent planning
• work on their own responsibility â?? independent exercise of professional activities for their own account
• independent work â?? work without any own production, trade, supply or similar interests and third-party interests of this kind
• continuous further training to keep up with the latest state-of-the-art
• technical know-how and performance-oriented offers
• guarantee for the best possible protection of consumers and constructors
• liability obligation with highest possible safety for the constructor

Thanks to their qualification and practical experience, Consulting Engineers are the perfect independent partners for all fields of engineering services.

Members

Any person that is able to provide evidence of having a degree in engineering and has its main residence or principal place of business in Saxony-Anhalt is entitled to file an application for membership in the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers.

Engineering graduates can file their application for membership in the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers immediately after having completed their studies successfully.

Having a total of 2,200 members, the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers represents the interests of numerous engineers in:

• public administrations
• administrative bodies and public authorities
• companies
• and of freelance engineers not being Consulting Engineers.

Our members are allowed to use the signet of the Chamber and can make use of the wide range of services offered by the Chamber. The certificate and the round seal, which can be only obtained by members of the Chamber, stand for the willingness to increase the professional qualification and consistently perform professional duties as well as for know-how, competence and responsibility.

Professional pension insurance carrier

Retirement benefits, surviving dependantsâ?? pension, disability pension

The professional pension insurance carrier is a self-regulatory body of the engineering trade, being responsible for the payment of retirement benefits, surviving dependantsâ?? pension and disability pension.

Consulting Engineers of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers belong to the group of participants. The basis is formed by the affiliation of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers with the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Pension Fund for Engineers (Ingenieurversorgung Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) in 2001.

Under certain conditions, Consulting Engineers and their families may be affiliated to the professional pension insurance carrier of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Chamber of Engineers, and be entitled to pension benefits.

The benefits paid by the professional pension insurance carrier include:

• old-age pension
• surviving dependantsâ?? pension
• disability pension
• family allowances
• single payments
